Today we are in Malaga Spain, the weather is again blue skies and warm. It is getting boring taking about the good weather, I know I will regret it one of these days! Our tour today was to visit the Nerja Caves, we have seen some neat cave in the past but not as large as these. Pictures are not able to show how big and massive this cave system is. It was worth the time to visit them. The caves are about 60 km from Malaga so the bus trip was as interesting as the tour, we were able to see a lot of county side along the eastern Mediterranean coast. After the cave tour we stopped at the town of Nerja where Ray was able to dipper her finger into the Mediterranean (not her toe) at Calahonda Beach. We walked the narrow streets and watched the locals. As this is low tourist season the town was not too busy and we were able to move around, a number of business were closed till February to give employees time off. It would be nice to come back to this area in March – April as the plants would be starting to bloom. Renting an appartment for a month would be 1000 – 1300 for a month in the off season.

We were back to the ship about 5pm and leave about 6:30 for another day of cruising on our way back to Barcelona where we will spend another day They will be preparing the ship for the next part of our cruise and new passengers that will be arriving. We are requested to leave the ship in Barcelona as they have to go thru and sanitize to try prevent the virus as much as they can. Not sure what we will do but I am sure we can find something to do for 3 – 4 hours.
