Our time in Athens did not start out the way it was suppose to, the ship did not dock and was not cleared until 3:30 pm it was suppose to be in by 11:30 am. This was caused by the emergency evacuation the night before that took 5 hours to complete and the very rough seas that slowed the ship down. All but 2 tours were canceled and those went out late, as a result our tour was cut short and we were not able to get to the Acropolis it was just a quick view from the distance. We could have canceled our tour and got a refund but our feeling was that we traveled to see these sites and would be disappointing to not at least see them while here. It was not raining so off we went.
